Cash shop items have a separate inventory tab, though. They are always equipped, in main inventory, or disposed of. These can never be put down by your character. Items can be bound to your family, allowing you to freely swap them between characters via storage. You can change it later with a cash shop purchase. Letters, numbers, and optionally an underscore in the middle.
They're all considered members of whatever family name you choose at the very start, and the family name shows above each character along with their character name. Your "Family" is your group of characters. And since I'm a newbie, too, be sure to check replies and comments for corrections and advice from more experienced players!
